Hi! My name is Angela and I'm a stay at home mom, wife, writer, event planner, maid and every other role that life brings.Join me as I rant and rave about the things that life brings to my doorstep
Yo Momma must have been really nice this year as yo momma just got a brand new laptop!!!

Christmases are usually spent at my family home in Novaliches. I go home about once a year nowadays so Christmas is always a very exciting time for me. This time, we brought along my mother in law and her two sisters who are living with her.
For noche buena, my dad gave in to my request and served up roast turkey with his oh so yummy mushroom gravy, pan fried lamb chops with mint sauce, and pasta mixed with parmesan, spicy dulong and olives in a garlic sauce. There was also this huge slab of homemade ham my aunt prepared in addition to the lengua estofado I made *(turned out pretty good and "melt in the mouth" tender if I say so myself).
There were also the usual fruit salad, leche flan and chocolates for dessert...excuse me while I wipe the drool off my chin
My favorite part of all was the opening of the gifts. You see we've gotten used to giving not just one gift to each family member. For example, I may receive 2-3 gifts from my dad, one from my mom, one or two from derrick, one from each brother and perhaps another from their girlfriends. So you can pretty much imagine how totally overflowing the gifts can get under the tree...o di ba ang saya saya!
I am so glad Nona loved the mp3 player I got her. She's been nagging me for one so I figured since she's done so well in school this year, she deserves the reward. I got her that in addition to some clothes, a few accessories, a do-it yourself organizer and a few trinkets. Her dad got her a couple of Puffy Ami yumi stuff.
Being the only apo at the moment, my folks also got her a ton of presents...lucky girl!
My bros on the other hand got the new Wii. We fairly spent the next 4 hours after midnight laughing ourselves silly at how we looked like punching at the screen while playing the boxing and tennis games on the Wii sport. We haven't tried out the other games yet at masyado naaliw
In fairness, nakaka-burn na ng calories ang videogames with Wii. Up to now Derrick's complaining that his arm hurts from the punches he threw playing with the Wii boxing.
Me? My dad gave my mom and me each new laptops with their own printers
Para daw hindi na namin siya kinukulit sa kakahiram ng laptop ng office pag kailangan namin. (As you can probably guess, my dad's the best gift giver of em all) Derrick on the other hand got me this huge box of chocolates and some combi-cooking and baking dishes
As for the other gifts I received, my mom gave me a pink Guess tote bag and Guess perfume in a pink box, my bro and his gf got me a pink shirt, while my other bro gave me a pink bracelet...and since I'm so totally NOT a "pink" gal being more of a "blue, black or green" preference...think they're trying to tell me something?
Haay...kainis lang I can't post pics. know why? coz somebody very stupidly forgot to take along her camera. I think I was just so harrassed that day hauling and piling stuff into the car on top of having our heavy metal gate slam on three of my fingers when Soda bolted for the car. I totally forgot all about the camera.(my knuckles are still black and blue ane yeah, they hurt like hell so i must have let loose a few choice expletives that day
)
December 25 is our annual reunion on my dad's side. So for this year, we fired up the barbecue and grilled some chicken, liempo, ribs and chops in addition to the left overs from noche buena and another freshly roasted turkey.
I always enjoy reunions with these relatives as we all share the same kind of blunt, sarcastic humor (in short, mga laitero lahat) and everybody is just so laid back and relaxed.Walang ek-ek pakisamahan. I also had my nieces and nephews around together with their kids (haaay lola na ako!) kaya mega full house ang bahay.
My MIL says she had so much fun sa bahay coz change daw from their usual quiet Christmas. E paano ba naman pag nagsama-sama ang relatives ko sa dad's side, hindi pwedeng quiet quiet especially since maraming bata. That's why I asked her along in the first place coz I knew she'd just enjoy it
Nona is left behind sa Nova at the moment. My dad dotes on her so much kaya rinequest na dun muna mag-stay. Insurance din that we'll be back for the New Year celebrations. (Since I got married, di na ako umuuwi sa bahay for New Year. I guess hostage si nona for now hehe
)
Pramis! the camera will be the first thing I'll stuff in my bag in fixing the stuff we'll be bringing sa bahay. I sooo can't wait for Medya Noche!
Hope y'all are having as wonderful a Christmas as we are!
