Hi! My name is Angela and I'm a stay at home mom, wife, writer, event planner, maid and every other role that life brings.Join me as I rant and rave about the things that life brings to my doorstep
I was blog-hopping the other day when I stumbled upon this post by Lizzz. It was about Connie Talbot, one of the winners of British talent show "Britain's got talent." i was surprised to find myself crying as I listened to Connie's performance. I don't usually do that! Anyway, curiosity piqued, I searched you tube for other videos featuring Connie.
While her performance for the finals was truly amazing. I absolutely loved the video of her audition:
I was also able to find a couple of songs off of her debut CD: I'll always love you and I Believe. Hubby likes her version of "Favorite Things"They are truly amazing!
Yes, i agree a lot of children out there have similarly beautiful voices but what I love is how a girl of 7 (she just turned 7 a few weekes ago) can take a song and stylize it. Besides, how many formally untrained kids can sing with a vibrato like that?
Another performance that totally stunned me was the audition by the show's eventual winner, Paul Potts. Seriously, if anyone ever needed a reminder how people should not judge people by appearances, THIS IS IT.
The expressions on the judges' faces were totally PRICELESS. i never get tired of watching these two videos over and over.
(believe me, i have and they never fail to produce the same effect)
And seriously, don't their performances just give you goosebumps? When i first viewed Connie's I was truly moved to tears. While I know a lot of kids can really sing well, her voice is just so darn sweet that it practically raised every hair on my arms and nape!
Paul Potts' performance was sheer magic. Even just watching it on You Tube made the hair on my arms and nape stand on end literally. I had goosebumps all over!
I guess it's just apther example of how great and extraordinary God can be. C'mon, who would imagine such performances from just looking at this odd couple?!
Enjoy!
